Starting from preschoolers to adults. No matter what style and level of dancing you are interested in learning we provide highly qualified instruction. Unlike most studios Silva Dance Academy has two fully developed departments:
- Ballroom Department providing group classes, private lessons, weekly socials, student showcases and competition participation in all levels of Social Dance and DanceSport for adults.
- Performing Arts Department teaching children as young as 3 years through adults variety of styles (Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop and DanceSport).

We achieve this by using the proven methods that were developed by the Royal Academy of Dancing - Ballet Syllabus - and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Ballroom and Latin Syllabus .The teachers on our staff are highly qualified in the above Societies. They convey their knowledge and dance experiences to our students with a passion and an ease which broadens their awareness of Dance.

The development of our dancers is guaranteed with this positive and proven approach. This is evident by our students achieving their goals . Many of our dancers have gone on to the Professional ranks within their specific dance careers.

 We hope to see you soon and share all the joys of dancing with you. The founders of the Silva Dance Academy originally came from the UK. and opened the academy in 1963. It quickly developed into a well known school with a reputation for successfully training amateurs and professionals. The professionals that we have trained are now successfully
training dancers throughout the United States. The studio is located on Long Island , New York and is ideally located and is easily accessible. Our dancers come from Manhattan & all of the Tri-State area.

Whether it's your wedding or someone from your family, basic dance skills are necessary to enjoy the party fully. Some basic Slow Dancing plus some Swing/ Lindy or Hustle is easy and fun to learn.

Performing Arts training is a great way for everybody to improve physical coordination rhythm, learn disciple, and to have a lot of fun. Your confidence and creativity levels will improve. It also gives any participant a chance to experience performing on stage as an ultimate dance challenge.
